If you have not registered on the site, you can still access all the information we have about gigs, comedians, and everything else. However, you won't be able to add your own entries to The Gig Calendar, the Funny People directory, or The Gig Guide, nor will you be able to add your comments to any of the features of the site.
Unregistered visitors to the site, and registered visitors who have not logged in, will see a login area to one side of the main part of the screen. That area is labelled MEMBER LOGIN.
If you are registered but have not yet logged in, you can fill in your username (or email address) and password, and then click the LOGIN button to get full access to the site. If you are using your own computer, we also recommend making sure the Remember me box is ticked, checked, crossed, or whatever the opposite of empty is. That way, you won't have to type in your login details next time you visit.
If you are registered but can't remember your details, have a look at the Forgot login? help page.
Finally, if you want to register, click on the Register link to be taken to the new user registration page.
You have to fill in most of the fields on the registration form. The only ones that are optional are the fields called A little about me and Phone Number.
We do need an email address from you, but it is never actually displayed on the site (unless you include it deliberately in your own profile information). Rather, the site uses that email address if it ever needs to send you a new password, or alert you that you have private messages, or anything like that.
And because there is probably a legal obligation to point this out:
Any information that you provide will is held in a database, and used solely for the purposes of running the site. Your data will never be sold, forwarded to a third party, or used for any purpose not connected with this web site, nor will it ever be used for spam or any other nasty stuff.
Once you have registered, there may be a bit of a delay before your account becomes active, mainly because we do everything we can to avoid spammers and would-be vandals from getting on the site. You'll receive an email letting you know when you can log in.
