Interestment Presents… Get Up Stand Up is the beautiful brainchild of Hannah Isherwood – a comic whose act has been described as “like The Vagina Monologue with knickers on” – and Josh Burt, the gargantuan mind behind interestment.co.uk.
A fine blend of music and comedy – or comedy and music, if you want to get all Lennon/McCartney about it – it’s aim is to celebrate excellent comedians, ranging from wise old established acts to fiery newcomers who want nothing more than to make you laugh your face off on a Friday night in South London, and, well, music.
The pub is the wonderful Bread and Roses, and the night will start out monthly, then go fortnightly, then eventually, it’ll be hourly. That’s the dream. Upstairs comedy, downstairs great music from Interestment djs Josh and Sam. It’s going to be brilliant.
