Very good

A very good night with a busy basement filled with an audience that's fair with laughter. The only problem is that it's a narrow room & the seating makes it difficult to see at the back. Nevertheless, it's still really enjoyable to perform there & the intimacy of the room can make you appreciate the comedy more from an audience perspective.

Wonderful!
on August 25, 2010
Played this venue for the first time last night (24th Aug 2010), and had a really good gig. Sarma is wonderful, charming, warm and supportive, and works her butt off to make this a really good night - and it shows. Great, remarkably diverse crowd, a good variety of acts, nice and tightly run, friendly. Loved it. I know there are other nights here, and I'll need to check them out, because having played it, it is easy to see why there is so much passion behind the bid to keep the pub open.

It can get a bit hot in the place, and it was a wee bit cramped, but that's more a reflection of how popular it is than anything else. Can't wait to do it again.
